Bisphenol A

The recent statement by the French government that banned from 1 January the manufacture, import, export and putting on the market, even free of charge, of materials and articles intended to come into contact with food containing Bisphenol A (BPA) has caused many requests from customers of Giflex companies to ensure compliance with the French legislative requirements.
The January publication by EFSA of a scientific opinion on BPA has not improved the situation. Therefore, the Giflex Technical Committee has decided to roll out a position paper that summarizes the state of the art and clarifies the position of member companies.
The text is available in the area reserved for processor members, in the position paper section, and may be used by the member companies to respond to customer requests.
